Science Communication Awards

THE «ΕΠΙ² AWARDS" OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE “SCIENCE COMMINICATION AWARDS” WERE FORMED TO HIGHLIGHT OUTSTANDING INDIVIDUAL AND COLLECTIVE INITIATIVES IN SCIENCE DISSEMINATION IN GREECE

The ΕΠΙ² Awards were established and first presented in 2018 during the Athens Science Festival. Since then, the award ceremony has been hosted at other events, such as the "Researchers' Night" in 2019.

The awards are given in various categories, including Written Texts, Videos, Social Media, Websites/Blogs, Visual/Performing Arts Projects, Awareness Campaigns/Actions, and School Initiatives. Additionally, there is an award for overall presence and contribution to science communication, recognizing an individual, a group, or an organization that has been contributing significantly for several years and in various ways to promoting science communication in the country.

Nominees for the awards include representatives from scientific or research institutions, educational organizations, NGOs, or businesses. However, individual nominations with actions that showcase the dissemination of scientific knowledge in Greece or abroad are also accepted.
