Unlimited Abilities Days 2020: Distant Abilities | Distance is not a limitation

SciCo supports Unlimited Abilities Days, a celebration for visible and invisible disabilities.

UNLIMITED ABILITIES DAYS 2020 with the theme "Distant Abilities | Distance is not a limit" celebrates theInternational Day of Disabled Persons. The distance may keep us apart, but this year Unlimited Abilities Days is even more accessible.

"The pandemic is an unprecedented public health challenge. But COVID-19 is not a barrier for people with visible or invisible disabilities. People with skills can turn distance into opportunity. They combine design with care, utilize technology and innovate by offering solutions. They prove every day that they can continue to work, to fall in love, to envision. They can live beyond the distance but also without any limitation!"

A multidimensional online event featuring civil society actors, social entrepreneurs, young people - people with skills. Connect and participate via the 3 following actions:

  • ABILITIES TALKS UAD20 (online interviews)
DISTANT ABILITIES |Distance is not a limitation
People with or without disabilities, visible or invisible, social entrepreneurs, activists, everyday people can inspire us with their skills. Capabilities that are not limited by distance. We tune in to our computer or mobile screens and get inspired by people's stories through a series of interviews. (The interviews will be available in December 2020 at www.abilitiesdays.com and on the event's social media.)In this year's online competition "Design & Care Hackathon 2020", artists innovate and design from a distance. They join forces to break the taboos on organ donation with a common goal: raising awareness of the importance of organ donation and increasing transplants by activating citizens. Meet the jury consisting of professionals and teachers from art schools, as well as representatives from the field of transplants under the auspices of the National Transplant Organization. The winners of the competition will be announced soon.
  • DESIGN & CARE HACKATHON UAD20 (online art competition)
RECYCLE LIFE - YOUR BODY | We break the stereotypes, we break the taboos in Organ Donation
Transplantation is a second chance at life and the COVID-19 pandemic should not become a barrier. In this matter of public health but also life, design and social marketing come to provide the solution. In this year's online competition "Design & Care Hackathon 2020", artists innovate and design from a distance.

  • THINK & CARE CHALLENGE
BE A LIFE DONOR - UNLIMITED BREATH
We support lung transplantation with actions

Transplantation cannot exist without a transplant and this can only be changed with acts. Acts of solidarity that cost only 1 click. A click and a photo that will highlight the leadership ability of each of us, to drag our neighbor into a chain of life. In this year's online challenge "Think & Care Challenge" UAD 20 in collaboration with the Panhellenic Cystic Fibrosis Association we are called, each of us individually, to support the "unlimited breath" for lung transplants and to become organ donors. Senior executives in healthcare, hospitals, patient associations, and civil society must lead and set an example in this endeavor, which ends on 31 December 2020. The aim is to demonstrate that we can turn the unprecedented health challenge into a second chance in life in 2020 with just one click.
