SUSTAINABLE THINKING

“SUSTAINABLE THINKING” IS AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM THAT INNOVATES
BY FOSTERING AWARENESS, UNDERSTANDING MARKET NEEDS,
AND DEVELOPING PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS, THUS PROMOTING SUSTAINABILITY

The "Sustainable Thinking" project aims to enhance the educational process and the skills acquired by trainees in Vocational Training Institutes and Technical Vocational Schools. As part of the project, academically sound educational material will be created, ready for use by educators. This educational material will be based on the problem-solving methodology of Design Thinking and will be applied horizontally across all sectors of Vocational Training Institutes and Technical Vocational Schools, accompanied by appropriate equipment. At the beginning of the program, educators will receive training, and support will be provided throughout the implementation.

The main objectives of the project are to strengthen thinking and learning methods, develop problem-solving skills crucial for the professional and personal development of trainees, connect education with society and the workforce, and cultivate environmental awareness for the optimal utilization of limited resources.

"Sustainable Thinking" is implemented at the national level, with a priority on remote areas that typically lack training opportunities.

The project is implemented by SciCo in collaboration with the Complex Systems & Service Design Laboratory of the University of the Aegean, with the support of the Bodossaki Foundation.
