MEDNIGHT

MEDNIGHT: A SCIENCE FESTIVAL WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF
MEDITERRANEAN COUNTRIES UNDER A COMMON FLAG

The Mediterranean Researchers' Night - MEDNIGHT is the biggest celebration of science in the Mediterranean region. It engages the general public and focuses on highlighting scientific activities in the region, with a special emphasis on the role of women researchers.

Its main objective is to create an enhanced partnership in the Mediterranean that brings to light the common problems of the surrounding countries, while also supporting and promoting science by fostering a sense of shared identity and dedication.

During MEDNIGHT, a multitude of activities take place simultaneously in many Mediterranean countries, including lectures, workshops, exhibitions, scientific performances, and many more. This makes the general public part of the research world and enhances their passion for scientific knowledge. The project's actions culminate every year on the last Friday of September. For the years 2022-2023, the main events in our country take place on the island of Lesbos.
