Mariya Fatakdawala, founder and president of SciCo USA, studies Biology at the University of Texas at Austin. She plans to pursue a career in medicine in the near future. With a strong passion for teaching, Mariya serves as an undergraduate teaching assistant for various science courses at her university and is a mentor for a research lab as well. Due to her interest in medicine and serving marginalized populations, she also volunteers as an equestrian instructor for children with physical and developmental disabilities. Mariya and her team were able to expand the efforts of SciCo to help underserved populations of students in Austin, Texas, and hope to implement the program throughout the nation.
