Falling Walls Lab is coming to Greece!
Are you a young scientist, researcher or entrepreneur over the age of 18? Are you still studying, or you have recently completed your studies? Do you have an innovative idea that can break walls? Do you want to present it in front of a jury and claim your participation in a world-class pitch competition?
SciCo in collaboration with the research center ATHENA organize the Falling Walls Lab Greece and invite talented students, researchers and early-career professionals, to pitch their innovative idea in just 3 minutes, showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society.
Those selected are given the opportunity to present their solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our time to peers, a jury of experts from academia and business, and the general public. The aim? To claim the first place in the Greek final. This leads them to the Falling Walls Lab Finale, that will take place in Berlin on 7 November 2021 and gives them also a ticket to the Falling Walls Conference (7-9 November 2021).
During the global finale, the 100 finalists from all over the world are invited to convince a high-calibre jury about the solutions they propose, and to claim the title “Breakthrough Winner” in the Emerging Talents category of Falling Walls, taking home the title and prize money, and receiving the opportunity to pitch their idea once again on the grand stage of the Falling Walls Conference.
Falling Walls Lab is a world-class pitch competition, networking forum, and stepping stone that brings together a diverse and interdisciplinary pool of students, researchers, and early-career professionals by providing a stage for breakthrough ideas both globally and locally. The multifaceted formats support the participants in driving their innovations and develop their communication skills, fostering collaboration and creating a space for our impactful and sustainable community to thrive.
Falling Walls Lab is organised by the Falling Walls Foundation and generously funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), the Berlin-Senate, Google, and Huawei. It is supported by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
Falling Walls Lab Greece will take place on 23 September 2021.
