Niti Sawant, co-founder and vice-president of SciCo USA studies Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, USA. During her time at the university so far, she has mentored students ranging from elementary school students to first-year college students through organizations such as Women in Engineering, UTeach, Student Engineers Educating Kids (SEEK), and of course, SciCo USA. This semester, with SciCo and UTeach, she has been visiting schools for outreach programs twice a week in addition to her rigorous engineering coursework. However, her passion for teaching and encouraging students to learn started long before college. Coming from a long line of educators, Niti believes that every child deserves an exceptional education.
