Falling Walls Lab Greece

FALLING WALLS LAB GREECE IS THE GREEK INNOVATION COMPETITION
WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE INTERNATIONAL FORUM FALLING WALLS LAB

In order to connect young scientists and entrepreneurs from all fields, Falling Walls Lab Greece represents the Greek effort to build a network and a sustainable community of pioneers and visionaries that will connect with the corresponding international platform of Falling Walls Lab, a world-class forum, helping participants promote their innovations, develop their communication skills, and establish relationships among themselves.

The Greek final of the competition was organized in Athens in the years 2021 and 2022 by the educational organization SciCo in collaboration with the Athena Research Center. Talented students, researchers, and professionals in the early stages of their careers were called upon to present their innovative ideas within 3 minutes. The finalists had the opportunity to present their work to a panel of jury which consisted of academics and experts from the business sector, as well as to the general public, with the goal of winning. The winners of the competition automatically secured their participation in the global finale of the Falling Walls Lab competition, which takes place in Berlin every year on November 7th, as well as a ticket to the Falling Walls Conference (November 7th-9th).

In the global finale, approximately 100 finalists from around the world are invited to persuade a high-level jury about the solutions they propose for some of the most pressing challenges of our time and compete for the title of "Breakthrough Winner" in the "Emerging Talents" category, along with a monetary prize and the opportunity to present their idea again on the stage of the Falling Walls Conference.

Falling Walls Lab is organized by the Falling Walls Foundation and funded by the Berlin Museum of Natural History, Springer Nature, and Google. It is supported by Sartorius, the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
