The Athens Science Festival 2017 will take place for the 4th consecutive year, between 29 March and 2 April, in Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens.
Τhe non-for profit, educational organization SciCo, remains the key organizer of this unique Science and Innovation Festival, advocating the need for transfer of scientific and technological knowledge back to society and aiming to the strength of citizens’ scientific literacy.

The Educational Robotics Research and Innovation competition, First Lego League (FLL), comes for first time in Athens on 19 February, in order to bring together the science and technology knowledge, with fun and teamwork in a big learning celebration!!
The nonprofit organization SciCo as part of this celebration, gives the opportunity to children of the Athens municipality to live an ultimate STEM experience (Science Technology Engineering Math experience).

SciCo is pleased to announce its collaboration with the “Open Schools” initiative of the Municipality of Athens and invites you to get to know robotics for education through an exciting five-day workshop.
The robotics lad for education is entitled “Transformers visit my school” and aims to introduce children to making and programming robots and creating a team project on robotics.
Advantages of the workshop:
Gain of basic skills in robotics (construction of the mechanical part, use of sensors, basic programming commands and algorithm)
Hands-on understanding of the Engineering Design
The Ashoka organisation implements for the first time the Impact programme in Greece. The non-for-profit, non-governmental organisation Ashoka leads for 35 years the field of social entrepreneurship.
The Athens Science Festival, the yearly celebration of science and innovation comes back at the Technopolis of the Municipality of Athens for the third year, between 5 and 10 April under the theme: “Evolving with science”.
The Executive Programme for Social Entrepreneurship of Stanford is an international course hosted yearly, designed for social entrepreneurs from various fields who wish to scale up their organisation.
Storytelling, story making and the clear presentation of an idea are basic elements of science communication but also basic skills with an increasing demand on the job market.
SciCo closed 2015 with the great success of the Mediterranean Science Festival that debuted in Cyprus between 3 and 6 December and gathered 10.000 visitors.
The 2nd Conference of the European Project MARCH took place on the 5th of November 2015 in the cultural centre Podewil in Berlin and its main topic was the attractive teaching of science subjects and the innovative practices that are applied in schools in Europe.
On the 5th of December 2015 SciCo made its first workshop in Doha, Qatar, for science communication.
