Science without borders at the Athens Science Festival 2018

The non-profil educational organisation SciCo organised for the fifth year in a row the unique festival on science and innovation, Athens Science Festival, at Technopolis City of Athens, with 22,000 visitors. Of those, 6,000 were students who were exposed to many interesting scientific activities. During 6 days, the festival hosted 160 research, academic and educational organisations, 115 different interactive events, 48 labs for kids, 23 workshops, 55 speeches and 5 competitions, as well as a series of other events for visitors of all ages!

STEMpowering Youth : Students projects of the second cycle

The “STEMpowering Youth” program is implemented in 15 provincial towns since February of 2017, and aims at student empowerment on science topics, with the use of new technologies. In each round of the program, the students are trained with interactive educational tools on Natural Sciences, Astronomy and Programming topics, and they participate in experiential activities and group projects, making constructions.

Maths in Motion

Maths in Motion is a two-year KA2 Erasmus+ project about how to use body movement as a tool to teach Mathematics. The final goal of the project is to create a toolkit of activities that combine music and movement as a tool to teach mathematics and explain basic mathematical concepts.

Extension of the application submission for the Ambassadors’ training program

The Academy of Ambassadors is aiming to empower the participants’ skills in science

SciCo team presents its new educational STE(A)M program

SciTEAM, the Education team of SciCo has created an innovative educational program based on the model of STEM education.

The acronym STEM is derived from the words Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, while recently the letter A was added from the word Art.

STE(A)M education is based on exploratory cooperative learning and aims to empower students with the 21st century skills. STE(A)M education is focused on problem solving techniques. Mind the Lab brings science in your way…From Greece to all over the world!

Mind the Lab, a breakthrough initiative in bringing science to the general public, was founded by SciCo in 2016.
